The secret diary, when I saw the title of this book, I was so interesting and curious about that. Most of people wonder other person's secrets, so I also wondered about that. Because our meeting is caused by the accomplishment of school, I actually felt uncomfortable feelings a little, but this book was not so boring or difficult.
A hero of this book is a boy, called by Adrian Mole. Adrian's age was started at 13³/₄. At first, I didn't understand about his strange ages but, I finally realized it means the maturity of his mind. He was a son of normal couples and their family is ordinary. However, the first event was started at the mother's adultery.
His mother had immoral attitude with Mr. Lucas and it brought the disruption of his family. I felt very inconvenience and disgusting feelings when I was reading that pages. What was Adrian's emotions?
How he felt when he knew about the relationships between his mother
and creep Lucas? I was so sorry to him and felt pathetic to him.

In contrary to this gloomy story, he sometimes throbbed and fluttered because of his lover, Pandora. He loved Pandora so, at first, he was suffered deeply. He worried alone and couldn't tell his heart to her. Before he and she became a couples, he lived spiritless life and always thought about Pandora. Nevertheless, as I imagined, after their relationships were developed, Adrian thought Pandora and wrote about her all the time.
In this book, his eccentric and funny description impressed and showed as a great appearance a lot. He wrote his diary almost every day about one year and 3 months, and his writings were very creative and funny. Sometimes, he showed his secret sides and told his own feelings, emotions to the diary. In reader's ground, his diary could come to an boring and plain writings, but in my ground, I felt the true side of Adrian and I was so impressed his effort and sincerity.
There are a lot of people in this Adrian's diary. His family, lover Pandora, creep Lucas, best friend Nigel, bad boy Berry Kent, neighbor Bert Baxter and his school-headmaster Mr.Scrunton. During I was reading the whole pages of the book, I felt difficulties because of lots of persons and unfamiliar words. Especially, I was confused by the names - Bert Baxter and Berry Kent. Bert was Adrian's neighbor who was treated by him and Berry Kent was a bad boy who harassed Adrian. Because of diverse characters, the novel was looked attractive more shiny but I was so hard to read and understand them all.
His mother's homecoming, Bert's marriage and his change of mind with Barbara Boyer were the main events at the last parts. When he changed his mind to the new lover, Barbara, I was so angry and depressed. However, he knew his fault and regretted it, I could know he was a real teenager boy.
Frankly speaking, it was the first time that I read the English book, so I couldn't have confident attitude but now, I can tell this book was so fresh and interesting confidently. Thanks to the author.
